In Loving Memory Of

Cynthia Sheppard

Cynthia has raised

for Madrugada

Cynthia was the kindest, most generous , thoughtful and giving person. She also had a knack for telling it like it is. She leaves behind a daughter, son, 4 grandchildren and a cat. Cynthia devoted a lot of time to Madrugada and has helped out , in any way that she could, since the beginning. Cynthia was an avid golfer in her early years and later an enthusiastic member of the Lagos bowling club, where she made many new friends. We know that she will be greatly missed by so many people and also know what an impact she had on many peoples' lives. We, her family, encourage you to make a donation to Madrugada in Cynthia’s memory. Madrugada is a charity that meant a great deal to Cynthia, and this is what she has requested. Thank you.

I enjoyed Cynthia's company; playing cards, scrabble etc. Also her straight talking. I was fortunate to have travelled to USA with her. We both knew it might be the end of a good friendship but no, we had a good time and our friendship was strengthened. I will miss you my dear friend.

Mum was a loving, caring and generous mother and grandmother. Her empathy and compassion borne out by her commitment to Madrugada. We will miss her greatly. We will always love you Grandma. Lagos seems so far away in these strange times. We are so grateful that you made it to Canada in Nov '19 - if only we could have known what was in store. You're the best...... Cyn you were such a lovely person and we all really enjoyed meeting up with you whenever we visited Portugal. You were so kind looking after our Dad and went above and beyond. We're so pleased we were able to have you as part of our lives. We will miss seeing you and chatting to you over emails and sharing jokes over whatsapp. We'll miss your smile and hearing about about what was going on with you and your family. Much love to all your family. Lots of love from Sarah, Jez, Sam, Kate, Audrey and all the Pauls and all the kids xxx

Cyn was my best friend. She was a kind & generous person, we spent many fun times together, including travelling. (Safaris, Alaska, Florida, Las Vegas, Disneyland, Spain, & many "Magical Mystery Tours" in Portugal ) Cyn came to stay with Marion & I most years, we went to many shows in London, will always remember travelling back from the Tina Turner show in a Tuk Tuk singing at the top of our voices! We were all competitive , golf, cards & games. We used "What's App" on a daily basis , keeping both up to date on our various interests & outings. Cyn loved animals of all varieties, in the later days she homed Groucho, he was very ferral but Cyn gave him a loving home & they became great companions. When Marion & I visited Nova Scotia, we planned to see Bash & Lori, to our surprise Cyn had flown over so we could see her as well, an amazing 70th treat for me. The last time we were together was Christmas & New year 2019/2020 in Portugal....A large hole in my life, miss you, so glad to have known you & your family. Love to all the family.

Cynthia was the kindest most down to earth Mother in Law a person could have. I will miss her greatly but always remember the lovely holidays to Disney, Jamaica and especially Kenya that she took us on.
